"Old Newbie"

Hey!!! Newbie here,I started building model cars n trucks in the summer of 1973,and built quite a few until 1995,got out of it due to getting married and starting a family......well the marriage didn't last as long as the model hobby did.

My son(22)just moved out so I now have an extra room that for my daughter(8)to do her crafts and such and for me to get back into the hobby I miss and enjoy ~AND~ my Lil girl wants to build cars and "Big Trucks" too!!!,by the way,shes a "Lil Motorhead" herself!!!

The sad thing is that most of my builds are gone now and I am starting from scratch....my passion has always been the trucks and I have not officially started any my buids yet(have gathered old kits from the past that I had from ebay etc.)

I cannot believe how much this hobby(or disease lol) has has changed and the aftermarket stuff that is available WOOOHOO!!!

I hope to get started soon!!,and I promise to get pics up when available(please I don't want to get deleted!! ).I have found this forum SOOOO very helpful !!!!!

Hi Mike.
Welcome to the group. You will really like it here because there is a lot of people on here with wealth of information that are more than willing to help out.
That is great to hear you daughter is into building models as well.
I think in progress pics will work once you get started working on a model.

Hey thanks to everyone with the kind welcome!!,I am really lovin' this forum!!!!,just won a 1/32 Volvo w/trailer "snap" together for my daughter and I still have a few kits I haven't started yet,by the way I am a "BIG" cab over fan,maybe because the first truck I ever drove was a '79 Freightliner cab over.....thanks again fellow members,looking forward on learning more here
