I just got accepted to the site. I am very excited about finding this truck site!!!!! I live in Pocatello, Idaho, about 20 miles southeast of the middle of nowhere. I am an over 50 modeler, slightly slow because of arthritis and weak close up eyesight, but I do enjoy the hobby!!!!!!
I build 1/24:1/25 trucks, 1/72 aircraft, 1/35 military and some HO whatever. My current project is the Revell Alaskan Hauler Pete converted to a 4 axle recovery truck. I call it a recovery truck since the entire bed will be scratch built with a crane similar to the U.S. Army wrecker/recovery trucks. It is not exactly a crane or a wrecker. I am using my photos and a 1/35 military truck model for reference. Slow build but enjoyable.
On a sad note, I will only be able to register here for a short time since I don't currently have a digital camera or photos to post. I hate to break the rules, but this site looks great and I hope to stay as long as I can get away with it.

Hey, Robert 1. Welcome to the forum and I also hope you can come up with a digital camera. Pocatello....hmmmm, how 'bout that. I was born and raised in Buhl but have lived in Utah since '74. Currently in Ogden so I'm only a rocks throw from you (with a good throwin' arm ;D). Win

Great news for me...... I found two old pictures that I had forgotten about. Bobby Boggs walked me thru on how to post them. Please forgive me messing up the post like this, but I am new. The other picture is under Highway trucks.

Welcome aboard Robert, you've got a great pair of Kennys there, i'd love to share some of my builds but unfortunately i'm only home for the week before i go back to base but i'm sure you'll stumble across some of my projects on this forum.
The guys here are some of the most supportive and helpful that you'll find on any truck forum so please dont hesitate to ask them questions on any topic (preferabley relating to modelling though ;D )

"you'll stumble across some of my projects on this forum."
I have seen your work...its great!! I have read some of your threads. As a new member, I have spent way too much time here over the last three days. No model work done....but I am learning who is who and looking at the builds. I am impressed.

Robert
Welcome from another new person. You're lucky to live in the middle of nowhere. I live at the end of nowhere. Idaho is a cool place. I've been through there several times. I lived just south of there in Provo and Orem Utah back in the mid-eighties. I've got a son that lives in Salt Lake City right now, which is the same place that my wife and I were married. Those are some nice trucks that you've built.

Welcome to the site. Don't feel bad about being slow. I'm 47 pushing 50 and my eyesite aint the greatest. I to build slowly at times. I look at it this way I build for me so how long it may take I know where I'm at on it.
